We may fissure seal children’s or adult’s teeth with deep fissures in order to protect them or prevent early decay progressing into a filling.
Root Canals are carried out to prevent the formation of a tooth abscess when the nerve is dying or has died. It may be required when teeth are cracked, have very deep cavities or if a tooth has suffered a severe trauma. Two or three appointments may be required and the process involved will always be discussed with you prior to commencement of the root canal treatment.
Dentures are artificial replacements for missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into the mouth. We construct all types of dentures including acrylic (plastic), metal (chrome) and valplast. These can be used as either a temporary or permanent solution. Dentures can also be constructed to fit dental implants for a very secure and reassuring way to replace missing teeth.
Routine filling work may be carried out to repair decayed or broken teeth or replace missing fillings. These will be treated with the most appropiate solution after discussion with you.

Chlorhexidine mouthwash (Savacol) can be used to help eliminate gum disease. It is normally prescribed for short periods of time to treat particularly aggressive gum disease.
Tooth mousse (CPP-ACP) is a milk protein derivative and is the first dental material to specifically harden the enamel. Used regularly it can reverse early tooth decay, disease or eliminate sensitivity and reduce the appearance of ‘white spots’ from teeth.
You will receive a thorough examination of your mouth – including gums, teeth, surrounding tissues and a check for any potential jaw problems. X-rays and/or photographs may be taken for additional information.
We will then explain our findings and discuss our recommendations to you. This will enable you to make an informed decision about the most appropriate treatment for your needs and wants.
An appropriate recall program will be recommended based on our overall assessment.
Our dedicated hygiene team are specially trained to monitor gum disease and implement vital maintenance programs to ensure that your teeth and gums remain healthy. We aim to detect, treat and prevent the occurrence of gum disease. Also, we endeavor to promote better understanding of this process with our patients and will highlight any techniques or products useful in achieving this goal. The frequency of your visits will be determined by your individual needs.
