Graduated Otago Dental School 1993 with credit, after gaining several prizes for academic excellence
worked in dental hospitals in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK before passing Fellowship Exams to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 1998 (in Oral Surgery) whilst working for 7 years in a progressive private practice in Richmond, London
Background in Dentistry
James studied at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London, gaining a Masters in Conservative Dentistry (with Distinction) in 2005, and receiving the 3M prize for clinical and academic achievement, James worked as an Associate Specialist in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal London Hospital before returning to New Zealand July 2006
James is also currently a member of NZDA, British Society of Restorative Dentistry, Australasian Osseointergration Society, and a member of International Team for Implantology. James strives to provide the highest quality dental care based on evidenced based research and clinical experience. He believes that prevention and accurate diagnosis are the corner stones of modern dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Surgery
James is a keen skier, who loves the great outdoors and enjoys good wine and good food.
